Job Description
Konnect recruit are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor/ Contracts Manager. This is a multi-facited role, incorporeating both Quantity Surveying and Contacts Managing, leaning more to the QS role.
My client is a prominent Chartered Building Company, providing a full range of services and successfully completing diverse projects across Dorset, Hampshire, and Wiltshire. They specialize in both new builds, refurbishments and heritage works, utilizing traditional, design & build, and partnering procurement methods. Projects can range in value from £100,000 to £6 million.
About The Role
* Prepare and submit valuations
* Certify payments for subcontractors and suppliers
* Issue subcontract orders
* Prepare Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and accruals
* Place material orders
* Attend weekly internal coordination meetings
* Prepare and issue monthly contractor reports
* Develop, manage, and review the construction programme
* Collate and track RFIs (Requests for Information) and CSIs (Contractor’s Site Instructions)
* Maintain health and safety standards
* Review and obtain Temporary Works designs
* Contribute to weekly labour meetings
* Manage all contract documents, including specifications, drawings, and revisions
The Ideal Candidate Will...
* Possess extensive experience in Quantity Surveying with a proven ability to demonstrate personal accountability and success.
* Have a strong track record in project surveying and financial management, with the capability to perform these duties on various projects.
* A background in project management, with experience in JCT contracts, is highly advantageous.
* Exhibit excellent planning and organizational skills.
* Have significant experience working with client professionals and subcontractors.
* Be dynamic, innovative, and able to work independently with strong initiative.
* Display outstanding motivational and communication abilities.
* Be a true team player, willing to actively engage in all aspects of the work.
* Hold a relevant degree, HND, or professional qualification.
