Menswear Jersey Designer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading fashion company who are seeking a strong garment Designer across jersey to join their menswear department, working across key accounts with major retailers. You will need to have a good understanding of smart jersey premium products and a tasteful level of casual and smart casual that is trend-driven and commercial.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Complete trend research, design and develop ranges working with the overseas factories.
• Work closely and liaise with factories in the far east.
• Ability to create bestselling ranges.
• Ensure critical path deadlines are maintained.
• Attend regular meetings with buyers when required.
• Required to work in a fast-paced environment, high volume design/development.
• Sourcing of new fabrics and trims.

• Multiproduct experience across menswear jersey.
• Creative and able to draw upon different inspirations to create luxe, sport, smart & casual designs.
• Confident, enthusiastic with willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication skills able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
