MEP Sub Agent (Heathrow Airport Project)

Protecnium (protecnium.com/en) is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services for construction. We are currently seeking an MEP Sub Agent for the Heathrow Airport Project in London, UK.

Estimated duration: 36-48 months, with the possibility of extension depending on the progress of the project. Generally, at the end of a project, efforts are made to move the employee to other projects for continuity.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM) with a 30-minute break.

About the Role

The position involves supporting the Agent in overseeing civil engineering operations while ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards. The role includes leading the engineering and site supervision team for a specific project section at Heathrow Airport. The MEP SubAgent will work closely with various stakeholders and contribute to the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with company policies (e.g., risk assessments, method statements) and set an example in safety and environmental matters.
• Support cost management and program production alongside the Agent.
• Supervise and mentor site engineers, ensuring strong engineering control and record-keeping.
• Liaise with commercial staff for prompt preparation of records for measurement and payment.
• Manage labor, plant, materials, and temporary work designs with the Agent.
• Handle subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely material delivery and compliance with company policies.
• Promote company values in dealings with employees, clients, and external contacts.
• Prepare and deliver daily briefings, while maintaining regular site diaries and project information.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years in engineering roles, particularly in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and services.
• Proven success at section engineering level.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Experience managing subcontractors and suppliers.
• Effective people management skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to project needs.
• CSCS card holder.
