Quantity Surveyor
My client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the active team and work on a variety of both refurbishment and new build projects in the West Midlands. Your role as a Quantity Surveyor is to provide commercial support on projects to ensure that it is obtained, delivered within budget and to the highest quality.
Roles and Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation, submission and agreement of interim valuations;
- Subcontractor procurement;
- Monthly Cost Value Reconciliations;
- Projecting cost and value to completion;
- Re-measure and checking of Bills of Quantities;
- Assessing Subcontractor payment applications;
- Recording and agreement of contract variations;
- Agreement of Final Accounts.
The Person
The qualities we are looking for in a Quantity Surveyor:
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Office packages
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent attention to detail and meticulous planning and organizational skills
