Class 1 Driver

CLASS 1 DRIVER

MONDAY - FRIDAY (OCCASIONAL SATURDAYS) START TIMES

£15.00 - £17.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are recruiting experienced Class 1 Drivers to work for our well-established client based in Barnsley.

This role will require the driver to make store deliveries of up to five stores per day and occasional collections.

This role may become permanent for the right candidate.

Rates of Pay

• Monday to Friday £15.00 per hour
• Saturdays £17.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties

• Drive a class 1 vehicle safely and efficiently
• Make on time store deliveries
• Make up to five store deliveries (route dependant)
• Occasional collections
• Tail-lift work
• Use of a pump truck
• Abide by company policies and procedures
• Comply with driving rules and regulations

Essential Skills

• Hold a valid UK Category CE licence
• Hold UK CPC and UK Digital Tachograph Card
• Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles
• Maximum of six penalty points with no major endorsement codes
• Work in a professional manner
• Excellent communication skills
• Positive 'can do' attitude
• Excellent customer service skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience of covering store delivery work with the use of tail lift and pump trucks

Training

• Driving assessment required
