IT Engineer - Network & Security

Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Preferred). Technical Skills : Essential : - Proven experience in network and IT infrastructure issues. - Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP) and operating systems (Windows, Linux). - Experience managing, maintaining, and updating on-site IT equipment (desktops, servers, network devices). - Proficiency in maintaining and securing user accounts, file systems, and data integrity. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively assist users and document technical issues. Highly Preferred : - Experience implementing and managing security measures (firewalls, access control). - Familiarity with network security concepts (VPN, intrusion detection/prevention). - Knowledge of IT asset management and inventory control practices. - Experience with IT tools and systems. - Certifications such as CompTIA A, Network, Security, or CCNA. Responsibilities : - Diagnose and troubleshoot network connectivity, software application, and hardware issues. - Manage and maintain on-site IT equipment, including desktops, servers, network devices, and peripherals. - Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard the organization's IT infrastructure. - Maintain accurate records of IT assets, licenses, and inventory. - Document technical issues, solutions, and procedures for future reference. - Participate in IT infrastructure planning, upgrades, and deployments. - Collaborate with vendors to ensure smooth operation of IT systems (ref:hirist.tech)
