Mathematics Teacher

James Ray Recruitment is working with a dynamic secondary school in York to find a dedicated and inspiring Maths Teacher to join their talented team. This is an exciting opportunity to engage and motivate students in a supportive and vibrant educational environment.

Role Overview: As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach A-Level depending on your experience. We are looking for someone who is passionate about mathematics and can inspire students to develop a love for the subject. Both experienced teachers and newly qualified teachers (NQTs/ECTs) are encouraged to apply.

This full-time position is available for an after half-term start on a fixed-term contract until the end of the summer term.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback on student progress.
• Create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that supports students of all abilities.
• Collaborate with the Maths department to develop resources and schemes of work.
• Support the personal development and well-being of students, adhering to safeguarding procedures.
• Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities, school events, and CPD opportunities.
