About the Role ...
As a Healthcare Assistant for Totally Group, you will be supporting our patients in a clinical setting and providing chaperoning duties during consultations. Assisting patients with moving and handling, mobilisation and ensuring the patient is physically conformable during procedures.
With this being an entry level role, that has the potential to develop within the dermatology field. We offer a warm and welcoming environment with supportive colleagues with on the job training available. This role would suit someone with a caring nature who has the ability to make people feel at ease.
As this is a starting point for someone looking for a career in this field, no previous experience or qualifications are required, however they would be beneficial.
There is weekend working available and flexible hours during the week so we can accommodate part time hours to suit the right candidates. We are recruiting for permanent members of staff on a zero hours contract basis to add to our current bank.
This role is based at several sites, all of which have parking available or accessible.

Your Day to Day ...
- Undertake routine tasks related to individual's health and wellbeing.
- Assist in the delivery of care to meet individuals' health and wellbeing needs.
- Establish and maintain communication with people on routine care matters
- Contribute to own personal development including competency to undertake the role of HCA.
- Assist in maintaining own and others' health and safety and security.
- Assist in maintaining and developing services.
- Ensure own actions help to maintain quality.
- Ensure own actions support equality, diversity and right.
- Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.
Desirable
- Customer facing experience.
- NVQ Direct Care Level 2 or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience of assisting minor procedures.
- Previous experience in an outpatient / GP setting / health setting.
