We are looking for a Transformation Programme Manager for a 12 months contract based in Derby on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.

Job description - the role

The Transformation Programme Manager is responsible for leading and delivering a comprehensive, high-impact change programme within the organization. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, driving business transformation initiatives, and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals. The successful candidate will oversee project planning, execution, risk management, stakeholder communication, and benefit realization, ensuring that the transformation delivers long-term, sustainable value.

As a Transformation Programme Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of transformation initiatives across the business, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Ensure that all transformation projects align with the organization's long-term goals, culture, and values, working closely with senior leadership to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives, department heads, and external partners, ensuring buy-in and support for the transformation programme.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive change management strategy, including training, communication, and engagement activities to ensure the smooth adoption of new processes, systems, and behaviours.
  • Establish and maintain governance structures to ensure the programme follows best practices, meets regulatory and compliance requirements, and delivers measurable outcomes.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks and issues throughout the lifecycle of the transformation programme, ensuring timely intervention to avoid potential disruptions.
  • Oversee the programme's budget, ensuring financial control and optimization of resources across all initiatives. Manage internal and external resources, including vendors and contractors.
  • Track programme performance against key milestones and deliverables, providing regular updates to leadership, and adjusting plans as necessary to ensure success.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing lessons learned from the transformation initiatives and ensuring these are shared across the organization.

What we require from the candidate:

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to think strategically, translate vision into actionable plans, and align programme objectives with business goals.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale transformation programmes, with expertise in project management methodologies such as Agile
  • Deep understanding of change management frameworks and experience managing organizational change.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage expectations and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and adapt plans as required.
