The pub is situated in the affluent village of Tandridge, between Godstone and Oxted in Surrey. Although in a rural location, the pub is only 5 minutes from the M25, nestled just off the A22 between Godstone and Old Oxted, and within easy access of Gatwick Airport and London.

The local area is predominantly rural, with small towns and pretty villages. It features a large area of the Surrey Hills to the north and agricultural lands to the south. Oxted is one of the largest towns in the district and has the main A25 road running through it. Lingfield is one of the more well known nearby villages, predominantly because it’s home to the famous Lingfield Park Racecourse, but the village also has a number of interesting historical features.
