Maintenance Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity for a Multi-skilled Engineer who's seeking a long-term opportunity with a very secure, reputable food company with strong values.

Our client produces a vast range of delicious, sweet and savory sustainable food products for major retailers and food service customers nationwide.

They're recruiting a Maintenance Engineer with a good mix of mechanical and electrical skills and previous food or FMCG experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out regular maintenance to machinery.

- Fault-find and repair on mechanical and electrical systems.

- Come up with new initiatives to improve production processes.

- Work as part of a team to keep downtime to a minimum.

- Ensure a safe working environment at all times.

Requirements:

- Hold relevant mechanical/electrical qualifications.

- Past experience in a fast paced environment (ideally food).

- Proactive, team player with good communication skills.

- Good knowledge of health & safety practices.

Expect a close-knit, knowledgeable team with a professional and supportive management structure who appreciate their engineers.

Commutable from Peterborough, Huntingdon, Cambridge, St Neots, Bedford, Biggleswade and Rushden

Hours: Monday-Friday 6-2 (2 weeks) and 2-10 (2 weeks)

Salary is circa £44,000 + attractive pension scheme and 25 days leave + bank holidays
