Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Administrator to join our client on a 6-month contract.

Reporting to Sales Director you be responsible for supporting the sales and warehouse teams by processing orders, managing stock levels, and handling various administrative tasks. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of sales processes and providing excellent customer service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Stationery Orders: Ensure office supplies are stocked and ordered as needed.
  • Sales Order Processing: Input and process sales orders using K8 and Scope systems. Produce the relevant labelling and delivery notes for the transport team.
  • Non-Standard Stock Purchases: Assist with the purchasing of non-standard stock items in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Stock Management: Liaise with the sales and warehouse teams to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained for timely order fulfilment.
  • Invoicing & Filing: Process invoices, scan documents, and manage the electronic filing of daily sales orders, advice notes, and pick notes.
  • Customer Communication: Monitor and respond to queries in the shared sales email inbox, following up with customers as required.
  • Administrative Support: Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks to support the smooth functioning of the department.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Sales Director.


Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar sales administration role is preferred.
  • System Knowledge: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Organisation: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with team members and customers.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry, invoicing, and documentation.
  • Team Player: A collaborative attitude and willingness to assist colleagues across various departments.
  • Time Management: Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £25,000 - £27,000 per annum
  • Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm with one hour lunch
