Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Client's dynamic engineering maintenance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of our manufacturing equipment and machinery. You will be responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across a variety of mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.

Role and Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and fault-finding tasks on mechanical, electrical, and automated machinery.
- Diagnose and repair breakdowns in a timely manner to minimise production downtime.
- Ensure all equipment and systems comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including service reports and inventory of spare parts.
- Ensure effective communication with team members, supervisors, and contractors when necessary.
- Participate in installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery as required.
Person Specification of a a Maintenance Engineer
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.
- Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated machinery.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Flexibility regarding shift work.
- Strong understanding of health and safety protocols.
