Complex Needs Teaching Assistant

Location: Oldham / Failsworth (OL1, M35)
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Temporary / Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications
Start Date: Immediate or as soon as possible

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in Oldham. You will be working in a vibrant and inclusive educational setting, providing tailored support to students with a variety of complex needs, including learning difficulties, autism, and sensory impairments. This role is essential in helping students to achieve their full potential by providing both academic and personal care support.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of individual students.
Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to promote their learning, social development, and independence.
Implement and follow personalised learning plans, behavior management strategies, and care plans.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and supported.
Work closely with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, to support students' overall development.
Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people with complex needs or special educational needs in an educational, healthcare, or support environment.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students with diverse and often challenging needs.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.What We Offer:
