BI Developer/Architect

Job Description : - Microsoft SQL Server development and performance tuning of dynamic stored procedures/functions and writing complex queries for data exploration/analysis - Microsoft Reporting Services development using Visual Studio - IBM Cognos Analytics version 11.2 including Report Studio, Framework Manager, Transformer IQD and cube model development as well as server/application administration functions - Oracle SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, Functions, Tables, Views, Materialized Views and Packages - development, performance tuning and data analysis. - IBM Ascential DataStage version 11.7 ETL components Designer, Director, Manager, Administrator development, maintenance and installation/administration - Linux Redhat OS experience with scripting, commands and file/folder navigation - TFS and AzureDevOps for code source control and deployment processes - Data Warehouse terms and concepts including dimensional modeling and ETL best practices - BMC Control-M Helix scheduling to setup job commands, dependencies, escalations Process Requirements : - 24/7 escalation support rotation for multiple regional data center environments troubleshooting and resolving ETL job aborts and data issues that cannot be resolved by 1st level operations - Architect level understanding how applications integrate to offer solutions for unique technical challenges - Use of Ivanti for ticket response across Incidents, Service Requests, Change Controls, issue resolution and communication - Experience researching data or report issues and reviewing detailed logic to identify and resolve - Detailed and process oriented to follow development standards and enterprise change control requirements - Excellent English written and oral communication skills necessary to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization adjusting as necessary for the intended audience - Ability to translate loose business requirements into specific technical requirements while working with business users, leadership and coordinating with business analysts - Proactively identifying efficiency or automation options, and collaboration within and across teams to implement Data & Business Process Depth of Knowledge Required : In depth knowledge of tables, columns and data relationships across the following Supply Chain Systems : - JD Edwards (JDE) ERP system all modules - Oracle Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) - Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management System (WMS) - Labvantage Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) - Manhattan Transportation Management System (TMS) - Business processes as it relates to data needs across Financial, Inventory, Procurement, - Forecast, Distribution, Product Development, Quality and Manufacturing functions (ref:hirist.tech)
