Part Time
My Client a forward thinking Law Firm based in Huddersfield are looking to recruit a Legal Cashier to join their team. This is ideally to work part time hours.
Main Duties:
- Processing financial transactions for both office and client accounts, inputting sales and purchase invoices, banking of cheques and allocating electronic receipts, processing payments via BACS,CHAPS and cheques, identifying and processing client to office transfers, online banking;
- Maintain accurate and timely accounting records;
- Ensuring compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules;
- Reconciliation of bank accounts on a daily and monthly basis;
- Verifying and processing conveyancing completions;
- Liaising with colleagues and external suppliers/contacts to resolve queries;
- Routine administrative tasks; and Any other duties that are deemed reasonable and appropriate by the Head of Finance.
Skills Required:
- Previous experience of working within a law firm accounts team required;
- Knowledge and experience of SRA Accounts Rules would be required;
- Proven IT skills, in particular experience of using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
- Experience of using a specialist accounting system (with experience of P4W/TFB an advantage);
- Numerate, accurate, organised and methodical;
- Able to handle sensitive information in a confidential and discreet manner.
- Strong commitment to providing a friendly and helpful service and positively contributing to the culture of the firm.
