About the role
The role requires a creative and data-driven individual with a proven track record in growing followers, engagement, and driving web sales through social platforms. Success will be measured through increased followers, engagement rates, and web traffic conversions.
- Develop and execute social media strategies and content calendars for each brand.
- Collaborate with the Graphics Designer & Marketing Manager and Nail Technician to create a bank of marketing materials, including photos, video reels, and lifestyle shots.
- Manage day-to-day social media posting, community engagement, and influencer partnerships.
- Track and report on social media performance metrics, focusing on growth in followers, engagement, and web sales.
- Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to keep brands relevant and competitive.
About you
- You'll be responsible for growing the online presence of United Beauty's brands across all social media platforms, whilst also supporting our sister brands.
- You'll have the opportunity to own, develop and implement strategic social media content calendars for each brand, working closely with the Graphics Designer & Marketing Manager and Nail Technician to produce engaging marketing materials, video reels, and lifestyle shots.
- 2-5 years in social media management, preferably in the beauty, lifestyle, or fashion industry.
- Degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related fields (preferred but not required with relevant experience).
- English (fluent).
Content Calendar Creation & Planning:
- Able to create and maintain a detailed content calendar, mapping out posts weeks in advance.
- Skilled in aligning content with marketing campaigns, product launches, and seasonal trends.
Proven Track Record in Growth:
- Experience in driving social media growth: increasing followers, engagement, and reach.
- Measurable success in improving social media metrics, such as: Followers: Demonstrated ability to grow follower count; Engagement: Proven increase in likes, comments, shares, and saves; Brand Ambassadors:
- Experience in finding and managing influencer or ambassador relationships; Conversions: Ability to track and report on social media’s impact on web traffic, sales, and customer conversions.
Platform-Specific Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of various platforms, especially Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube.
- Awareness of best practices, trends, and algorithm changes specific to each platform.
Trend Awareness:
- Staying on top of social media trends, challenges, and viral content to ensure the brand remains relevant.
- Understanding of SEO, hashtags, and keywords to enhance content visibility.
Analytical Skills:
- Proficient in using analytics tools (e.g., Instagram Insights, Facebook Analytics, Google Analytics) to assess social media performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Ability to create reports on KPIs, ROIs, and other metrics to demonstrate the value of social media efforts.
Community Management:
- Strong skills in interacting with followers, responding to comments, and building relationships with customers and influencers.
- Ability to manage online reputation, handle negative feedback professionally, and maintain a positive brand presence.
Photography & Videography:
- Strong skills in product photography and videography to create visually appealing content.
- Knowledge of lighting, composition, and product styling.
- Experience in shooting content suitable for Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest.
Video Editing:
- Proficient in using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or mobile video editors.
- Able to create engaging short-form video content, such as reels and stories.
Graphic Design:
- Proficiency with tools like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator for creating compelling visuals.
- Knowledge of typography, colour theory, and brand consistency across posts.
Copywriting:
- Able to write clear, engaging, and on-brand copy for social media posts, captions, and ads.
- Familiarity with storytelling and copy strategies tailored to each social media platform.
Paid Social Advertising (optional, but valuable):
- Experience with Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram ads, and social media ad strategies for boosting posts, increasing visibility, and driving sales.
- Understanding of audience targeting and A/B testing for paid campaigns.
Project Management:
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Collaborative Mindset
- Ability to work closely with creative team (Graphics Designer & Marketing Manager and Nail Technician), as well as web influencers and external agencies.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to align social media efforts with broader marketing strategies.
