Position Type: Full-time (part-time considered)
Role: Long-term placement with the potential to become permanent
We are seeking a dedicated and positive Art and PSHE/RSHE Teacher to join a dynamic special needs school in Thetford. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with SEND. We are open to applications from instructor teachers, but QTS is desirable.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and tailored lessons in Art, PSHE/RSHE to meet the diverse needs of students
* Support the social, emotional, and academic development of students
* Plan, prepare, and assess student progress, ensuring lessons align with school goals
* Work closely with teaching assistants and SEN staff to adapt lessons for individual needs
* Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
* Experience working with SEND students (desirable)
* QTS preferred but open to instructor teachers
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Positive, adaptable, and empathetic approach to teaching
* Willingness to commit to long-term success for both students and the school
