About the Role

The Finance Director you will play a crucial role in the financial management and strategic planning. This role requires a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in project controlling, people management, and a strong background in US financial practices.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior management to drive financial performance, ensure compliance, and support the company’s growth trajectory. Position will report to the CFO.


Accountabilities include...


Financial Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support growth and business objectives.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the senior leadership team.


Project Controlling

  • Oversee the financial aspects of project management, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure accurate and timely project cost reporting, identifying potential financial risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with project managers to optimise project financial performance.


Manpower Management

  • Manage and control manpower costs, including workforce planning, headcount analysis, and labor cost forecasting.
  • Partner with HR to develop and implement effective compensation and benefits strategies.
  • Monitor and report on manpower metrics to support strategic decision-making.


US Financial Practices

  • Leverage extensive experience with US financial regulations, tax codes, and accounting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with US financial reporting requirements and support international expansion efforts.
  • Coordinate with US-based stakeholders to align financial practices and reporting.


Financial Reporting and Compliance

  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to the senior leadership team and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations.
  • Oversee internal controls and audit processes to safeguard company assets.


Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support for professional development and career progression within the finance team.


About You

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ICAEW)
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, with a strong emphasis on project controlling and manpower management.
  • Extensive experience with US financial practices and regulations.
  • Proven track record in a fast-growing SME environment.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
