About the Role


Our client is seeking an energetic Sales Development Lead, based in the UK, to take charge of developing new business opportunities and scaling their sales efforts. This is a leadership role designed for someone who thrives in building strong teams, developing lead generation strategies, and contributing to the rapid growth of a tech-driven company.



Responsibilities


  • Lead and develop a team of SDRs, ensuring targets are met through strong mentorship and performance management
  • Create and implement strategies for prospecting and lead qualification, ensuring a healthy sales pipeline
  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to design targeted campaigns that align with company goals
  • Engage with prospective clients to identify business challenges and align them with suitable solutions
  • Regularly assess team performance, using data and insights to refine processes and improve outcomes
  • Train SDRs in outreach techniques, product knowledge, and handling potential objections
  • Provide regular reporting and updates on key performance metrics to senior leadership
  • Work alongside account executives to ensure a smooth handover of qualified leads
  • Maintain an understanding of industry trends, helping to position the company’s solutions effectively
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented environment that encourages professional growth


Qualifications


2+ years of experience in sales development, business development, or similar roles, ideally in SaaS or E-commerce



Required Skills


  • Demonstrated success in leading or mentoring a sales team, with proven results in hitting targets
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, both internally and externally
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and optimize team performance
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and taking initiative where needed
  • Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce and engagement platforms


Preferred Skills


  • Experience with AI or E-commerce solutions is a plus
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a hybrid or remote team
