Overview:
It's a leading supplier of cans and pails for retail and industrial packaging across various sectors. We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our dynamic team responsible for the maintenance of diverse machinery including Injection Moulding Machinery, Power Presses, Can Manufacturing Equipment, Lithographic Printing Presses, Pick-and-Place Robots, and General Building Maintenance and Installation.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and diagnose equipment breakdowns, executing necessary repairs promptly and effectively.
• Perform maintenance tasks ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are upheld.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and equipment installations.
• Innovate repair processes through modern lean techniques.
• Facilitate smooth shift transitions by providing comprehensive handovers.
• Adhere to preventative maintenance schedules and coordinate spare parts procurement.
• Utilize Computer Management Maintenance System (Agility) for activity documentation.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in mechanical and electrical fault finding.
• Competency in pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems (Mitsubishi and Siemens).
• Familiarity with inverters and drives.
• Strong team player with ability to work independently.

Education/Qualifications:

• NVQ3 engineering or equivalent.
• ONC electrical engineering or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications:

• HNC electrical engineering or equivalent.
• BS7671 wiring regulations 17th edition or 18th edition.
• Electrical inspection and test (C&G 2391).
• Forklift counterbalance certification.
• IPAF MEWP 3a and 3b.

Experience:

• Automation: 2 years (required)
• Electrical Engineering: 2 years (required)
• Mechanical engineering: 2 years (required)

• Competitive salary range: £43,000.00 £50,600.00 (dependent on experience).
