Junior New Product Development Manager

Role: Junior NPD Manager

Salary: up to £32,000

Location: Oxford (hybrid)

Lavandi Talent are currently working with a global award winning beauty and personal care company who are currently growing their NPD team. They are on the lookout for a Junior NPD manager to join their passionate, diverse and creative team.

Responsibilities:

• Engaging in daily communication with suppliers to manage the product development timeline and address any issues that may arise.
• Providing suppliers with briefs on new product developments and negotiating cost-effective prices that align with the business's commercial objectives.
• Assisting with product approvals by evaluating the quality, design, print, color, and formulation of new samples that arrive at the office, as well as reviewing them against the artwork to ensure market compliance, and sharing feedback with suppliers.
• Offering commercial insights to the business by monitoring trends, analyzing competitor products, and making strategic product suggestions tailored to our retailers and target customers.
• Supporting sample management within the office and ensuring retail partners and licensees receive the necessary samples to meet their expectations.
• Helping the Product Development Manager with various administrative tasks as needed.

Ideal Candidate:

• Enthusiastic and passionate about the health and beauty industry.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and escalate when required.
• Preferably experienced in product development and sourcing.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Strong communication abilities, with a focus on daily interactions with suppliers, test houses, licensors, and internal departments.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, including advanced spreadsheet use in Excel, with Sage experience being a plus.
• Innovative and creative mindset.
• Experience in sourcing or product development in globally would be an advantage.
