As a Car Sourcing Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our success by introducing new and managing existing clients by identifying, negotiating, and acquiring vehicles that meet their individual brief and our stringent quality standards.


Job Overview / Description


We are seeking an experienced, resourceful, dynamic, client-focused Car Sourcing Account Manager to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for introducing and managing new and existing clients in finding their ideal vehicles through diligent research, direct consultation, negotiation, acquisition, and providing a highly personalised service. Your primary objective will be to understand the unique needs and preferences of each client and to source vehicles that meet/exceed their expectations. You will work closely with dealerships, private sellers, and industry contacts to build a robust network for sourcing vehicles. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the automotive market, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record in buying and selling high-quality vehicles to a discerning client-base. This role offers significant earning potential and an opportunity to play a key role in the growth of our company.


Key Responsibilities


New Client Introduction: Introduce and manage a new client-base


Client Consultation: Engage with clients to understand their specific requirements, including budget, preferences, and desired features.


Research and Sourcing: Build and maintain relationships with dealerships, wholesalers, private sellers, and auction houses, to source vehicles that match clients' criteria.


Negotiation: Negotiate with sellers to secure the best possible prices for clients while ensuring the quality and condition of the vehicles.


Vehicle Inspection: Coordinate with the company inspections team to conduct thorough inspections of sourced vehicles to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.


Documentation: Handle all paperwork and documentation associated with vehicle purchases, including titles, registrations, and transfer of ownership.


Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the sourcing process, providing updates and recommendations as needed.


Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and support to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.


Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, pricing dynamics, and new vehicle releases to offer informed advice to clients and to also identify new buying opportunities.


Problem Resolution: Address any issues or concerns that may arise during the sourcing process, taking proactive steps to resolve them promptly and effectively.


Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the car sourcing function, contributing to the overall success of the team.


Qualifications


  • Previous experience in vehicle sourcing/acquisition within the automotive industry is essential.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain vendor relationships
  • Strong knowledge of the motor trade, including market trends, vehicle valuation and appraisal techniques.
  • Familiarity with automotive financing and leasing options is advantageous.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and client needs.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using software tools and databases for research and record-keeping.
  • Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.


Benefits

  • Salary - £30,000 - £55,000 OTE Uncapped (Basic Salary + Commission). Earnings are uncapped, therefore offering excellent earning potential for motivated individuals.
