About the Role:

We are seeking a Talend Data Specialist with strong SQL and API experience to support our client’s data integration and reporting needs. You will work closely with a team based in Glasgow, Scotland, and be responsible for managing and integrating data, developing APIs, and creating data solutions that support business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Talend Data Integration: Manage and transform data using Talend for integration into the client's data warehouse.
• SQL Development: Use SQL for database queries, optimizations, and managing complex datasets.
• API Development: Build and manage APIs to support data integration and communication between systems.
• Data Loading & Management: Load and manage Excel data sources, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data transfer to the warehouse.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the bridge between technical database management teams and the business/project teams.
• Ad-Hoc Reporting: Develop customized reports based on business requirements using SQL and other tools.

Required Skills:

• Talend Expertise: Strong experience in Talend for ETL processes and data management.
• SQL Proficiency: Advanced skills in SQL for database queries, data manipulation, and reporting.
• API Development: Experience building and managing APIs for data integrations.
• Database Management: Strong understanding of database architecture and performance optimization.
• Data Integration: Experience in managing Excel data sources and loading them into databases or data warehouses.

Preferred Qualifications:

• UK-based, ideally close to Glasgow.
• Ability to work efficiently within cost-sensitive budgets.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical teams.
