We use Scrum as our core framework at Ntegra, and as a Product Owner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring successful project delivery. Your responsibilities will include:

  • As a Product Owner, you'll interpret and maintain the product vision, ensuring alignment with the client’s business goals. You'll also manage the product backlog, prioritising features to deliver maximum value.
  • Acting as the liaison between clients and the Scrum team, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout
  • Setting acceptance criteria for features and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) with clients.

Scrum Master:

As a Scrum Master, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Removing impediments: Identify and resolve any obstacles that hinder the team’s progress.
  • Facilitating the team’s understanding of backlog items as prioritised by the Product Owner, ensuring clarity and alignment with sprint goals.
  • Ensuring team accountability: Help the team stay on track with sprint goals and maintain a sustainable pace of work.
  • Fostering transparency: Promote clear communication and transparency in reporting progress and addressing challenges.
  • Driving continuous improvement: Lead retrospectives to identify and apply actionable improvements.
  • Managing risks and dependencies: Proactively address risks and manage external dependencies that may affect delivery.
  • Using Scrum metrics: Track and interpret key metrics like velocity and burn-down charts to drive team performance improvements.

Consulting & Leadership (general, aligned with the Agile practice):

  • Collaborate with the Head of Product Engineering to align Agile methodologies with client needs, ensuring continuous capability enhancement.
  • Lead pre-sales engagements, scoping proposals, and demonstrating value to prospective clients.

Line Management:

As the leader of the Agile Delivery team, you will also have line management duties, including:

  • Team leadership: Provide day-to-day leadership, ensuring alignment with company objectives, while conducting regular performance reviews and offering mentorship to develop team skills.
  • Cultivate a positive, collaborative team culture, promoting open communication.
  • Oversee team resourcing to ensure the right mix of skills and capacity to meet project demands and address any gaps or development needs.

Business Analyst (for specific client or internal projects):

Business Analyst responsibilities are secondary and will only occasionally be required on specific projects. These responsibilities may include:

  • Gathering and analysing business requirements from clients and translating them into actionable formats for the development team.
  • Mapping current business processes and recommending improvements or changes.
  • Translating business needs into technical solutions, ensuring alignment between stakeholders and the development team.
  • Producing detailed functional and non-functional specifications, user stories, and wireframes to guide development.
  • Facilitating workshops and meetings with clients to clarify requirements and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Proven experience in Product Owner and Scrum Master roles, ideally within software development, digital transformation, or consultancy settings.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable deliverables.
  • Deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from discovery to delivery, facilitating effective collaboration with development teams.
  • Expertise in working directly with clients or senior stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Proven success in delivering end-to-end projects using Agile methodologies within cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Alignment with our core values: Open and Honest, Can-Do Attitude, Collaborative, and Leading by Example.

Desirable skills/experience

  • Appropriate Agile certification such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Agile Business Analyst (AgileBA) or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM).
  • Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
  • Experienced in a Consultancy or Professional Services business model.
  • Active Security Clearance (SC) is desirable but not necessary as we are able to sponsor applications, as a requirement for all staff.
