Commercial Vehicle Technician
Location: Billingham
Salary: £36k to £40k plus overtime
30 days hols pension and parking Life Insurance
Monday to Friday
45 hour week
Description:
HGV Trailer Technician
We are looking for a Commercial Technician to work in a team to inspect, service and repair vehicles to a high maintenance standard, ensuring conformity to all current company EHS guidelines, policies, procedures and mandatory EHS legislation.
Responsibilities:
* Inspection and repair of vehicles to DVSA standards including MOT preparation and presentation to test.
* Fault diagnosis including the use of specialist market leading diagnostic equipment.
* General mechanical and electrical repairs.
* Off-site working, including breakdown attendance.
* A focus on customer service and a dedication to keeping our customer’s vehicles on the road and minimising downtime.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* The successful applicant must be NVQ, or City & Guilds qualified (or equivalent) and should have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
* Background/experience in commercial vehicle repairs
* High level of enthusiasm & good communication skills
* Basic knowledge of computers and ability to complete relevant written documentation.
* Have a customer and team centric mindset and high level of professionalism
* Good organisational skills and ability to be able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines Initiative to work autonomously if required.
