Heavy Plant Engineer – South East England (Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, and London)
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Heavy Plant Engineer to work across the South East, covering areas such as Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, and London. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of equipment, including diggers, dumpers, excavators, rollers, telehandlers, and more.
The Role:
As a Heavy Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a variety of heavy plant machinery. You’ll travel across the South East to customer sites, ensuring machinery is operating efficiently and helping to minimise downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy plant equipment including diggers, dumpers, excavators, rollers, and telehandlers.
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on-site.
* Ensure all repairs are completed in line with health, safety, and manufacturer standards.
* Maintain accurate records of work carried out, including service reports and job documentation.
* Provide excellent customer service and technical support where required.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Heavy Plant Engineer or similar role, with expertise in maintaining and repairing heavy machinery.
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
* A relevant engineering qualification is preferred.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* A full UK driving license and willingness to travel across the South East.
