As the Personal Assistant to the Headteacher, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the school's leadership office. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to support the Head Teacher in their day-to-day activities, including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and acting as a liaison between staff, students, and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, with excellent time management skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be someone who thrives in a busy environment and has the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Discretion, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills are essential.

This Merton based school provides a refurbished building both internally and externally to help provide good quality teaching and therapy spaces for students in Key Stage 2 / KS2, Key Stage 3 / KS3, and Key Stage 4 / KS4. This includes acoustic treatment to provide a calm and therapeutic environment, onsite Speech and Language therapists, Occupational Therapists, CAMHS, Music Therapy, and Lego Therapy. This school provides for children with a higher functioning Autistim Spectrum Disorder / ASD, with smaller classroom sizes of a maximum of 10 pupils. The students are diagnosed with Autism / ASC, Speech, Language and Communication Needs / SLCN, or Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs / SEMH then we have a rewarding role for you

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-level administrative support to the Head Teacher, managing their diary, emails, and communications
Coordinate meetings, events, and appointments, ensuring the Head Teacher is well-prepared
Act as the first point of contact for queries, both internal and external
Draft, proofread, and handle confidential correspondence and documents
Manage projects and initiatives as assigned by the Head Teacher
Liaise with senior leadership, teaching staff, parents, and external agencies on behalf of the Head Teacher
Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and databases
The successful Personal Assistant will have:

Proven experience in a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant role, ideally within an educational setting
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
