Job description:
Reporting into the Head of Airfield Operations you willprovide day to day leadership of the operations team and manage the successful running of the department on a 24/7 basis. In addition you willbe responsible for all aspects airfield operations ensuring all actions are carried out safely, efficiently and in a way, which proactively improves performance and exceeds customer expectations. As well as ensuring that all airfield users and service partners adhere to all published regulations and requirements. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing staff and resources efficiently and effectively to ensure compliance with airside safety standards
- Collaborating with various stakeholders to provide a safe operational environment for aircraft, colleagues, and passengers
- Ownership of the Winter Operations Plan to ensure safe and efficient anti-icing and/or snow clearing activities are carried out with minimal impact to operation.
- Management of contractors throughout Aerodrome works packages ensuring safety and compliance standards are maintained, including major works such as runway rehabilitation
- Promoting an airside safety culture and making relevant
- Management of Environmental compliance regimes
Profile description:
We are looking for someone with previous experience of working in a high pressured fast paced environment with the ability to remain focused. It is highly desirable that you will have gained this experience in Aerodrome Operations, but not essential. You will beed both Operational and People Management experience, aswell as experience in developing, maintaining and implementing operational procedures and practices. Situational awareness is key, as are impeccable communication skills. Equally any experience of carrying out in-depth accident investigations will be very helpful.We operate a 4 days on 4 days off shift pattern - with working hours from 6am - 6pm and vice versa.
