Following an exciting period of growth, a leading accounting firm in Oxfordshire is looking for an Audit Semi-Senior. This role would suit someone with a minimum of 3 years' UK practice Audit experience. Full training and support will be given to further develop your skills and abilities for a long-term career within practice.


To support the organisation’s growth, we have created a new opportunity for an Audit Semi-Senior to join either our Oxford or London Audit teams. This is a permanent full-time role with hybrid and flexible working options (flexing your hours on different days to suit your lifestyle).
Key Responsibilities:
Building long-lasting client relationshipsWorking on a variety of interesting and complex audit assignments across multiple sectors, liaising with seniors, managers and partners when requiredPrepare audit files, undertake audit planning and lead/assist with fieldwork. As you progress and develop, you will be given more responsibility and start leading smaller audits.Ensure audit assignments/ sections (depending on the size of the audits that you are involved in) are completed to a high standard, on time and within budgets agreed with partnersPreparing corporation tax computationsManaging own workload in a timely and efficient manner while all the time ensuring we exceed client expectations.Supervising, training and assisting more junior members of the teamBuilding productive relationships with team members and colleagues at Shaw Gibbs, adopting a collaborative working approachWhilst the role will predominantly be audit-focused, there will also be opportunities to get involved in preparing accounts.

About You
ACCA/ACA part-qualifiedMinimum of 1-2 years’ UK Audit practice experiencePreference for a University degree with at least a 2:1 or minimum 3 A-Levels (A, B, B or above)Xero, Sage, Caseware and CCH experience would be an advantageFully fluent in English with proven communication skills, both written and verbalExceptional attention to detailStrong IT skills, specifically Excel and able to pick up new IT packages very quicklyA positive, confident and proactive attitudeCreate a positive impression with clients and staffAbility to prioritise and meet tight timeframes with high quality outputEnjoy working as part of a team and self-motivatedAble to work within procedures on job aspects which will deal with facts, standards and quality
