Mechanical Fitter
Sherburn in Elmet
Perm Days, Monday to Friday, 7.15am – 4.30pm & 7.15am -12.15pm Friday

Are you a Mechanical Fitter looking for a new, exciting opportunity? Want to get off shifts?
Our international renowned, family owned manufacturing client are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team of engineers.
As the Mechanical Fitter you will be at the forefront of the assembly operation, ensuring all machinery and equipment is assembled and tested correctly to the given specifications.
Ideal candidates will possess the following;
* Previous experience within a mechanical fitting role
* Experience with operating a machine
* Understanding of pneumatics
* Ability to manage a number of projects at any one time
* Good attention to details and methodical
* Ability to work to strict deadlines
* Can work alone or as a team
Responsibilities;
* Carry out the first build, fitting and final assembly of components in relation to special purpose machinery.
* Familiarity with conveyors, elevators, bearing assemblies, screw conveyors and valve assemblies.
* Ability to read and understand technical component and assembly drawings.
* Inspection of finished components and assemblies for quality and accuracy.
As Mechanical Fitter you will work standard days, Monday to Friday, 7.15am till 4.30pm, with a 12.15pm finish Fridays.
You will expect a salary up to £35k dependant on experience + 22 days per year closes down over Christmas period (varies each year due to when falls, tends to be 3-4days) not required to be taken out of holiday allowance + bank holiday.
Pension – 4%
