Imagine being part of an engineering team that doesn't just fix things – it drives innovation and powers a business that makes a real difference. Sound good? Keep reading.
I'm working with a top-tier food manufacturer in South Wales who are looking for a Shift Engineer to join their growing team. It's an opportunity to work with cutting-edge machinery in a company that’s not just about making food – it’s about making food that feels good, tastes good, and does good.
What’s in it for you?
Location: Brynmawr, South Wales
Hours: 4 on / 4 off – 12-hour shifts (2 days, 2 nights)
Salary: £40,500 - £43,260 + benefits
You'll play a key role in keeping the production line moving smoothly, ensuring minimal downtime, and optimising equipment performance. Whether it’s fixing an issue on the spot or supporting long-term improvement projects, you’ll be the go-to person.
The Day-to-Day
Planned and reactive maintenance across the site.
Maximise the efficiency of machinery and ensure production targets are hit.
Keep detailed records of your work and ensure compliance with all relevant safety and engineering standards.
Troubleshoot, resolve, and implement solutions on-the-go, always looking to improve processes.
Collaborate with the wider engineering and production teams to keep everything running like clockwork.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
Time-served engineer with a Level 3 BTEC qualification (mechanical or electrical). HNC/HND is a bonus.
Background in food manufacturing? Even better, but not essential.
You’re a problem-solver with strong communication skills, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
You're great under pressure and understand the importance of delivering results within budget.
Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, particularly in an engineering environment.
Fully computer literate, you’ll know your way around a maintenance management system.
Why This Job Rocks
Join a team that values everyone, invests in growth, and aims to be a market leader in culture and innovation.
Access to personal development and career progression.
Employee well-being programs, charity initiatives, and retail discounts are just the beginning.
Plus, you’ll get 2 days off a year to volunteer for a cause close to your heart.
The Bottom Line
This role isn’t for the faint-hearted, but for a driven and experienced Shift Engineer, it’s a chance to make a real impact in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. If you're ready to take the next step in your career with a company that’s going places, hit apply today
