Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £80 - £95 per day
Start Date: September 2024
Question 1: Do you have experience working with children with special needs and disabilities?
Question 2: Would you describe yourself as a compassionate SEND educator?
Question 3: Are you qualified Level 3 and/or a minimum of 6 months’ UK experience in an educational establishment?
The school’s we work with pride themselves in offering a range of support to their students by providing tailor made plans that are specifically designed to help focus on encouraging desirable behaviours and skills for each student. As well as allowing the pupils to develop healthy relationships and qualities that would be considered valuable in society.
As a SEND Teacher you will be working in a primary SEN school, which may include outdoor activities and many ways of teaching and supporting children. As well as being a key figure in their lives, our teachers always look for fun and unique ways to be engaging in the classroom!
Schools are in search of a committed and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant for day-to-day, short-term, and long-term roles. They offer a wealth of experience, enabling you to develop as a teacher with competitive pay rates. Our skilled and devoted SEND Consultants select placements that match your availability, preferences, and abilities.
The ideal TA / Teaching Assistant should have the following:
Level 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months’ experience in an educational establishment
Good communication skills
A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
Strong behaviour management skills
