Financial Controller

Robert Half have partnered with a long standing client based in Stroud, Gloucestershire to recruit an interim financial controller to start immediately.

This role has been created due to support with additional workload during a slight restructure of the team.

Start date: Monday 14th October 2024

Duration: 3 months +

Day rate: £350 - 375 per day (Depending on experience)

Key Focus for the position:

• Month end: management accounts, journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Variance analysis: budget vs actuals and working with the relevant department heads
• Statutory accounting: VAT, audits, and compliance with Companies House and Charity Commission requirements
• VAT: A major project beginning in January, strong experience with VAT is required.
• Manage a small finance team of 4

Work Arrangements:

• Open to hybrid working: fully onsite until the end of October, followed by a 3/2 split thereafter.
• Working hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
• Start date: Monday following selection of successful candidate.
• DBS check will be required.
