School securty officer

Taskmaster Resources Ltd in Huddersfield are looking for an experienced person to operate as a school security officer with a broad range of experience at working with 11-16 year olds. This could be from youth & community work, volunteering in faith groups, sports coaching, teaching et al.

We are looking for people who can not only keep the students safe on site, but also actively engage with them. (Please note that we are not looking to recruit candidates with 100% retail security guard experience, for example, sorry).

WORKING HOURS 8:15am-3:15pm MON-FRI, term time only. On-going work

Job duties:

• to be a physical presence at the school gates at the start and end of the school day.
• to monitor and admin visitors/parents/late students to the school and advising them where to park etc.
• to patrol the school buildings and grounds throughout the day to ensure correct behaviour is being shown by students and that there are no intruders on site
• collecting students from classes and escorting them to isolation areas
• any other duties as requested

Applicants must have a enhanced child workforce DBS on the DBS Update Service and must be prepared to work outdoors in all weathers, for at least a portion of their shift. (Waterproofs provided)
