TEXO Recruitment are delighted to be representing an a well-established privately owned construction groups renowned for excellence in construction, house building and civil engineering.
Our client is searching for a Building Services Manager who will play a crucial role in ensuring that all Pre Construction tendering reviews are carried out on all systems/designs.
In addition, the ideal candidate will oversee the co-ordinated installation on site to ensure a smooth operation and maintenance of buildings and their services during the buildings life span.
Duties include:
* Review all drawings and specifications and advise Pre-Con team members of
* Attend meetings as required to challenge Design Teams to ensure tendered systems are complete
* To take the lead in reviewing PCI services information and giving guidance to the team, Give utility programme advice to planner
* Advising the design team on the co-ordination of services within the overall building design, for example, advice on how much space is needed above the ceilings to accommodate ventilation systems and other services.
* Reviewing prices for services work including all qualifications and give recommendation
* Prepare and manage utilities tracker for all new main services as well as all site temporary services
* Assist Site team with re tendering of M&E work packages
* Review and report on new / updated tenders to the Site team
* Carry out weekly site inspections on larger projects and produce a QA report to the site team – support with any issues
* On smaller projects, random QA visits may be required to support the site team
* Have a solution focused approach to overcoming site issues with regards to M&E clashes etc to move the project forward
* On larger projects agree commissioning programmes and witness all commissioning
