E-Commerce Manager

MacGregor Black is currently partnering with a Leading Retail Company on the search for an E-Commerce Manager. This is a permanent position based in London, United Kingdom.


As the E-Commerce Manager your primary focus will be on optimizing the performance of our e-commerce channels, you’ll also contribute to our broader marketing and sales initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to grow in a fast and dynamic area of the business, growing the eCommerce presence and helping to drive the company into the next phase of their development.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement the e-commerce strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and brand identity.
  • Manage the e-commerce platform, including ongoing maintenance and updates, to deliver a seamless and engaging shopping experience for customers.
  • Monitor sales performance on the e-commerce platform, identifying areas for growth and optimization.
  • Oversee stock management, maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while avoiding overstocking.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing and Marketing departments to plan and execute digital marketing initiatives, including company-wide and online-exclusive promotions, product launches, and new service offerings.
  • Drive the growth and development of all online marketing channels (email, paid search, SEO, affiliates, partnerships).
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with new and existing e-commerce partners, including couriers, SaaS providers, and external agencies or contractors.
  • Regularly assess campaign performance and marketing funnels, using data-driven insights to optimize conversion rates.


What are we looking for?


  • 3+ years of experience implementing digital marketing strategies, preferably in the retail or food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of various digital marketing channels and hands-on experience with tools like SEO/SEM, Google Analytics, and CRM software.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • A keen eye for detail, ensuring high standards across all aspects of the e-commerce function.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and autonomously when required.
  • Strong time-management skills to juggle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive working relationships with colleagues and partners.
  • A highly motivated individual who is eager to contribute to a forward-thinking and expanding organization in the toy industry.
