Hawkwood is partnering with a high-growth, sports and data technology scale-up that has doubled its headcount since early last year. To support their ongoing expansion, they are looking to build out their People team.


Our client is a market leader with offices in London, Paris, Los Angeles, New York, and Bern . They work with some of the biggest names and organisations in the sports industry ⚽


We’re seeking a HR Manager to take the lead for all things People for UK and Europe with the support of the People Advisor. Reporting into the People Director, you will be given scope to have real impact and lead on a number of projects focussing on Employee Experience, Benefits, Onboarding and process improvement whilst partnering with leaders to reinvigorate Performance Management, L&D and talent development.


This opportunity offers the chance to work with the wider business, drive high performance and ensure the teams are given the tools they need to scale.


What are some of the things you can expect to be doing?


Ownership of People Operations - ensuring that policies, procedures and processes are streamlined and up to date

Build Career Frameworks - allow all teams to reach their goals and full potential

Lead on Performance Management Processes - improve the design and communicate to the team

Focus on building a high performance culture

Drive continuous improvement of all processes and procedures on data integrity, pulse surveys, HRIS integrations and more


You will be a great fit if you have:

  • Experience working in People Operations or a HR Manager role
  • Experience in a fast-paced, small-to-medium business that has scaled quickly is highly desirable
  • Experience using HiBob would be a benefit
  • Have line management experience
  • Confident, with high levels of influence on senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work at pace whilst not compromising quality.
  • A strong team play who likes to delve into the detail and collaborate well
