Job Description

We’re recruiting for a Payroll System Specialist to join us. We’re offering a competitive base salary. You will support the current functionality across the Payroll systems and assist in enhancing the ways of working alongside the System Managers and Implementation subject matter expert. Undertaking testing requirements and system checks to ensure accuracy, resilience and process optimisation. All supporting the agreed service levels, aligning to CS quality standards, regulatory requirements and L&Gs polices.

What you'll be doing:

Developing the existing payment process/systems to accommodate ongoing changes/new customer requirements. Facilitating the specification of business change requirements to payroll systems liaising with the appropriate change agents

Undertaking appropriate user testing and validating changes to payroll systems, supporting the implementation of changes, including communicating with the operational team and hyper-caring impacted processes

Providing technical support to internal customers, recommending solutions to complex payment problems

Project Support - (system, process, regulatory) Support the creation and embedding of business testing, ensuring operational support validating accuracy of changes and safeguarding operational processes

Monitoring and managing all payroll non-production environments to conduct regular reviews of data and functionality (Preprod, Test/Development)

Undertaking appropriate system reviews as required. Conducting disaster recovery testing, contingency reviews to ensure business resilience and infrastructure monitoring.

Consumer Duty- Ensuring that the principles of Conduct Risk are embedded into your day-to-day operations to deliver good customer outcomes at all times. Ensuring that all business processes and internal controls within your role are designed and performed in a way that delivers good customer outcomes and demonstrates effective management of Conduct Risk


Qualifications

Who we're looking for:

  • Basics of processing payroll and reconciliations
  • Strong testing & project delivery
  • Analytical mindset across system functionality and defects management.
  • Awareness of Payroll regulatory/risk
  • Experience in a similar environment working on multiple projects and all levels of testing for example - SIT, BAT, PA
  • Initiative – Trouble shooting and issue resolution
  • Prioritisation (MoSCoW)
  • Planning/Organisation of testing
  • Excel
