Job Title: Housing Support Worker
Job Type: Temp (FTC 6 months), Opportunity to go Temp to Perm
Mon - Fri, AM-PM (37.5 hours per week)
28 Days Annual LeaveSalary: £13.85 per hour
Location: Birmingham
Key Responsibilities:
The role is to provide support and guidance to service users.
To signpost service users to their relevant support needs.
Attending appointments and arranging GP and dental visits or other related appointments for benefits or ESOL classes.
1 hour support session per week per service userEssential Criteria:
Somali Speaking Essential (Arabic may be considered) - Due to nature of service users/Language Barriers
Enhanced DBS clearance
NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (Desirable)
Experience in housing or homelessness support
Knowledge of local support services
Full Clean Driving License (Desirable - Not Required)
