A key expectation of everyone who works for Scottish Autism is that they live and breathe our values; Collaboration, Change Makers, Compassion and Contribution. Our values come into play throughout everything we do at work – how we work together, and how we deliver services to the people we support and to the people we work alongside.

About the job

In this role you will:

  • Work alongside the Practice Development Team and Autism Services teams to embed supported decision-making in everyday practice, advising practitioners on how best to achieve this for autistic people who may have learning disabilities and/or high support needs.

  • To support the meaningful inclusion of the autistic people we support, and the wider autistic community, in our organisational communications and campaigning.
  • To facilitate an Autistic Advisory Panel that will contribute to strategic organisational decisions on a range of themes. This may include practice development; internal and external learning programmes and activities; policy campaigning priorities; and organisational communications.
  • To support organisation-wide efforts to provide accessible communication – including board papers; Executive reports and strategy communications; regular internal communications, policies and learning resources.

About You

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Coaching and facilitation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams
