Analytics Consultant

Our client is a business consultancy which offers a wide range of services, with a focus on shaping data strategies, delivering actionable insights, building analytics tools, and developing AI-driven solutions to optimise key business areas. They are looking for a French speaking Analytics Consultant (client-facing) to join their London team to help drive the Data Strategy of a major retail chain. The Analytics Consultant will be directly involved in shaping the data strategy of one of the biggest retailers in Europe, and will work as their Account Manager. This will involve scoping solutions and projects directly with clients and collaborating with engineers and analysts to develop ambitious data projects - including both Machine Learning projects and Data Analytics projects.

ROLE of the Analytics Consultant:

• Translating customers requirements into well-defined technical solutions and data analysis projects, advising clients on the best development options to fulfil their requirements.
• Prioritising developments and establishing long-term roadmaps to deliver business value in the context of a multi-year partnership with the client.
• Liaising with customers to monitor their requirements evolution and adapting our client’s development roadmap accordingly.
• Communicating data-driven insights to stakeholders and making recommendations.
• Collaborating with other teams to identify and implementing the best data-driven solutions.
• Developing and maintaining high-quality, automated analytics tools.
• Performing targeted studies and analyses to deliver actionable insights.
• Cleaning and manipulating large, complex datasets.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies to support data analysis efforts.

PROFILE:

• Fluent French and English with strong communication skills
• 2+ years of experience as a data scientist, data consultant, data analyst, data engineer, analytics engineer (or similar), with a background “grandes ecoles” such as Centrale or Mines.
• Strong collaboration skill and strong business acumen.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Proficiency in Tableau or PowerBI.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• A desire to learn and improve.
• Client-facing experience such as an account manager in a tech consulting role
• Experience with DBT, Apache Airflow, with large datasets (TBs), in cloud technologies (GCP desirable), in programming (python desirable), with Data and AI applications in the retail industry.
