Temporary Commercial Counsel

LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a company which owns and operates various further and higher education providers, both inside the UK and outside the UK. They are seeking a commercial counsel to join them on a temporary basis for a 3-month period to provide support due to increased workload.

The majority of your work will be to draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including platform agreements, partnership agreements, licences and terms and conditions. You will work directly with the marketing and procurement teams, and report directly to the Group General Counsel.

To apply you will be:

• A UK-qualified solicitor, admitted to the SRA for England and Wales, with minimum 5 years’ PQE
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts – private practice experience is desirable to this client
• Able to commute to the office in central London on a hybrid basis
• Available on no more than a 2-week notice period

The salary for this role is £300 - £350 per day via PAYE.
