Job Description
Procurement Heads have partnered with a leading healthcare tech company based in the New Forest, who are currently looking for a Buyer to join their Supply Chain team.
We're looking for a Buyer who will support the workload across all procurement activities and act as the focal point of contact for the purchasing department, working closely with both external and internal stakeholders and suppliers.
The role offers a 35h working week (Monday to Friday) between 9-5pm and a hybrid working policy (2 days remote). This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys negotiations, driving cost savings and building strong supplier relationships.
Responsibilities of the Buyer role will include
- Managing purchase orders in the system, ensuring compliance and up to date records
- Sourcing new parts as required by the business
- Conducting relevant market research including price, supplier, full description and lead time
- Sourcing new/alternative suppliers
- Working towards achieving cost reductions through negotiation and sourcing against set objectives
- Review compliance of all supply chain documentation such as subcontractors, consultants
- Manage the process of returned items/stock
- Manage the facilities maintenance for all business buildings
- Provide administrative support to other functions within the Supply Chain as required
- Liaising with other departments within the business to help ensure the smooth and efficient transfer of high quality information and data
- Creating monthly reports to support purchasing targets and KPI’s

Relevant candidate criteria
- Previous experience of purchasing goods/services
- Evidence of supplier management and contract negotiations
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and ability to build strong relationships internally/externally
- CIPS qualification would be advantageous but is not essential
- Demonstrate strong team player skills as well as agility and ability to work well independently
