Our client, a leading architectural metalwork specialist, is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects across the UK and Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company known for their comprehensive range of high-quality architectural gratings, louvred panels, flooring, and fencing.
Position OverviewAs a Contracts Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing contracts from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered to specification, on time, and within budget. You will work closely with customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors to maintain the company's reputation for excellence in service, support, and product quality.
Responsibilities- Manage multiple contracts ranging in value from £1,000 to £250,000
- Administer contracts from inception to completion
- Ensure delivery to specification, program, and within contract price
- Programme sub-contractors to meet project timelines
- Deliver contracts on time and to budget
- Maintain quality control standards
- Liaise with customers to understand their requirements
- Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers
- Order materials and manage inventory
- Conduct snagging inspections
- Visit customers and suppliers in the UK and Europe
- Background in engineering, project management, or construction industry
- Exceptional experience or degree in engineering or construction-related discipline
- Ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience resolving issues with products and suppliers
- Proficiency in instructing and checking fabrication drawings
- Ability to read technical drawings and take site measurements
- Competence in using database and Windows IT systems (Outlook, Word, Excel)
