The Role

Working as part of a collegiate team, you will support this established and growing Edinburgh Private Client team to service a dynamic caseload of clients, including HNW individuals, local families and individuals. Variety of work creates a refreshing role where you will take ownership of clients to provide a range of advice on asset protection, tax and executry administration.

You will work with large trusts and estates, support succession planning, and create and execute wills and power of attorneys, as well as undertake work on guardianship and capacity cases.

This full-service firm is particularly well regarded for the private client team and as such you will be in a strong position to carve out a name for yourself as a leading name in the practice.

As an Associate, you will manage workload through delegation to other team members whilst ensuring efficient completion of the work to a high standard. Moreover, you will be expected to engage in departmental and firm-wide business development, undertake work to raise the profile of the firm and to grow the revenues of the firm.

There is a clear progression pathway, with internal promotion favoured and supported by the firm.

The Ideal Candidate

• Is a well-versed solicitor with 5+ experience in Private Client
• Ability to manage caseload independently
• Has first-rate customer service and relationship management
• Are an excellent verbal/written communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members alike
• Has a proactive, innovative and value-adding mindset
