Job Description

Rapier Employmentis looking for a number of HGV Class 1 drivers to support our well-known client basedin Swindon on an ongoing basis.

Must have at least 12 months of HGV Class 1 driving experience, with no more than 9 points on your licence.

Position:Class 1 Driver
Hours: Start times will vary, potential for AM and PM starts.
Ideal shift patterns:
  • Thursday to Monday OR Friday to Tuesday.
  • If you are looking for weekend work only, they can potentially accommodate this.

Basic hourly rate:£18.88 per hour
Night premium (20:00-05:00):£19.91 per hour
Saturday:£24.90 per hour
Sunday:£27.31 per hour
Overtime:1.25x overtime rate after 42.5 weekly hours worked

Responsibilitiesinclude, but arenot limited to:
  • Transporting goods between various locations efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Deliveries from Swindon will be across the South coast of England up to the Midlands.
  • PM drivers will mostly cover trunking, but some store overflow deliveries may be required.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure road worthiness and report any maintenance or mechanical issues.
  • Always provide exceptional customer service.

Requirements:
  • Full UK Licence (Cat C+E)
  • CPC Card
  • Digi Card
  • 12 months of Class 1 experience
  • No more than 9 points on your licence
