Registered Nurse - Weekend Med/Surgery

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing care to patients using the nursing process, technology, and resources within the institution's philosophy.

• Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops appropriate plan of care
• Takes responsibility for patient and employee safety
• Communicates with others to resolve issues and offers constructive feedback
• Receives patient Bedside Shift Report and delegates tasks to assigned HCT's
• Completes and documents basic RN patient care activities
• Provides patient medications utilizing the patient 5 Rights
• Maintains patient safety as the highest priority
• Promotes a healthy work environment and a healing patient environment
• Uses critical thinking to evaluate the overall patient condition
• Effectively communicates within the healthcare team
