The Site Leader is responsible for overseeing all operations at the company's facility. This role involves leading a team of managers and supervisors to achieve business goals, implementing lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean manufacturing, leadership experience, and a track record of driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety and Compliance:

o Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the distribution center.

o Conduct regular safety training and audits to maintain a safe working environment.

o Address any safety concerns or incidents promptly.

Leadership and Management:

o Provide leadership and direction to all site operations, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.

o Develop and manage a team by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and fostering a culture of accountability.

o Promote a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and professional growth.

Lean Manufacturing Implementation:

o Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of lean manufacturing practices across the site.

o Conduct regular assessments and kaizen events to identify waste, improve processes, and enhance overall efficiency.

o Utilize tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Six Sigma to drive process improvements and cost savings.

o Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies.

Operational Excellence:

o Oversee daily operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and supply chain management.

o Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as necessary.

o Ensure that production goals are met within budget, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Financial Management:

o Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.

o Report on financial performance and recommend strategies for growth and improvement.

o Develop and manage the site's budget, including capital expenditures, operating costs, and labor expenses.

Customer Satisfaction:

o Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to meet customer needs.

o Address customer concerns promptly and work to improve overall customer satisfaction.

o Develop strategies to enhance product quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Management, or a related field (master's degree preferred).

Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles and driving continuous improvement.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Proficiency in using ERP systems and lean tools. (NetSuite)

Knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory standards in manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt).
  • Experience in a similar industry or production environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and certification processes.
