Position Details:
- Role: Behavioral Support Assistant
- Location: Primary School in East Ham
- Start Date: September
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM - 3:30 PM
- Benefits: Paid to scale holiday during half terms and summer breaks
In this rewarding position, you will work closely with children who have ADHD and learning difficulties, providing essential support in a mainstream primary school with a dedicated SEN provision. Your previous experience with SEN, particularly in managing challenging behavior, will be crucial in helping our students thrive.
Daily Duties:
- Provide 1:1 support to children with ADHD and learning difficulties, fostering their academic and social development.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each child's needs.
- Manage and support children exhibiting challenging behavior, using positive reinforcement strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Engage in small group activities to promote social skills and peer interactions.
- Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills in SEN support.
